Recombinant Mouse Glypican-1 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Asp24-Ser529 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Glypican-1 is a cell membrane protein and belongs to the glypican family. The protein may act as a catalyst in increasing the rate of conversion of prion protein PRPN(C) to PRNP(Sc) via associating (via the heparan sulfate side chains) with both forms of PRPN, targeting them to lipid rafts and facilitating their interaction. It is required for proper skeletal muscle differentiation by sequestering FGF2 in lipid rafts preventing its binding to receptors (FGFRs) and inhibiting the FGF-mediated signaling.

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 µg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Endotoxin : Less than 0.1 ng/µg (1 IEU/µg) as determined by LAL test.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.
Subcellular location: | Secreted |
Post transnational modification: | This cell-associated glypican is further processed to give rise to a medium-released species. |
