Alternative Name : NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta, NF-kappa-BIB, I-kappa-B-beta, IkB-B, IkB-beta, IkappaBbeta, Thyroid receptor-interacting protein 9, TR-interacting protein 9, TRIP-9, NFKBIB, IKBB, TRIP9.
Source : Escherichia Coli. NFKBIB Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 380 amino acids (1-356 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 40.3kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).NFKBIB is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta (NFKBIB) is a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which inhibit NF-kappa-B by complexing with, and trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on these proteins by kinases marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thus allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B, which translocates to the nucleus to act as a transcription factor.
