Recombinant Human CEACAM1 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Gln35-Gly428 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Carcinoembryonic Antigen-Related Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (CEACAM1) is a member of the Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. CEACAM1 is originally described in bile ducts of liver as biliary glycoprotein. Subsequently, it is found to be a cell-cell adhesion molecule detected on leukocytes, epithelia, and endothelia. CEACAM1 mediates cell adhesion via homophilic as well as heterophilic binding to other proteins of the subgroup. In addition, CEACAM1 plays a important role in the differentiation and arrangement of tissue three-dimensional structure, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and the modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses.

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 µg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Endotoxin : Less than 0.1 ng/µg (1 IEU/µg) as determined by LAL test.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.

Subcellular location: Cell projection, Apical cell membrane
Post transnational modification: Isoform 8: Phosphorylated on serine and threonine.
Tissue Specificity: The predominant forms expressed by T cells are those containing a long cytoplasmic domain (PubMed:18424730). Expressed in granulocytes and lymphocytes. Leukocytes only express isoforms 6 and isoform 1 (PubMed:11994468).
BioGrid: 107103. 12 interactions.
