Polyclonal Antibody to MARCKS
Figure-1: Immunofluorescent analysis of HeLa cells stained with rabbit pAb to MARCKS,(34-1062), dilution 1:1,000 in red, and costained with mouse mAb to β-tubulin,(34-1116), dilution 1:10,000 in green. The blue is DAPI staining of nuclear DNA. The (34-1062) antibody recognizes protein localized in the plasma membrane and cytoplasm, while the β-tubulin antibody stains the network of cytoplasmic microtubules.

Post transnational modification: | Phosphorylated. Phosphorylation at Ser-120 and Thr-178 is non-redundantly catalyzed by MAPK8 in vivo. Phosphorylation at Thr-148 is preferentially catalyzed by MAPK8 in vivo, but this modification can also be catalyzed by other kinases in the absence of MAPK8. May be phosphorylated by protein kinase C, which disrupts the interaction with calmodulin. |
