The M1/69 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD24, variably glycosylated GPI-anchored membrane protein. CD24 is known as the Heat Stable Antigen (HAS or HsAG) and is found on epithelial cells, thymocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and lymphocytes to the exclusion of NK cells. It is useful in delineating the stages of lymphocyte development and is involved in the costimulation of CD4+ T cells by B cells. CD62P (P-Selectin) is the reported ligand of CD24.

The antibody has been analyzed for quality through the flow cytometric analysis of the relevant cell type. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.

Subcellular location: Cell membrane
Post transnational modification: The identity of the N- and O-linked polysaccharides are not reported in PubMed:1530634. The O-linked polysaccharides on Ser-30, Ser-41, Ser-43, and Thr-51 are probably the mucin type linked to GalNAc.
Tissue Specificity: In lymphoid, myeloid, and erythroid cells.
