Immunogen Information : A partial length recombinant DDX3 protein (amino acids 10-230) was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
DDX3 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box helicase 3, X-linked) is having a large family of ATP-dependent RNA helicases that involve in several steps of RNA metabolism. Main functions of DDX3 involve transcription, mRNA export and translation, regulation of apoptosis and hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication. DDX3 has two isoforms produced by alternative splicing. The cytoplasmic form is highly phosphorylated in the G1/S. DDX3 is primarily expressed in nucleus during G0 phase and in the cytoplasm during G1/S phase.

Western blot analysis: 2-4 µg/ml

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.

Subcellular location: Nucleus speckle, Cytoplasm, Mitochondrion outer membrane
Post transnational modification: Phosphorylated by TBK1; the phosphorylation is required to synergize with TBK1 in IFNB induction. Phosphorylated by IKBKE at Ser-102 after ssRNA viral infection; enhances the induction of INFB promoter by IRF3. The cytoplasmic form is highly phosphorylated in the G1/S phase and much lower phosphorylated in G2/M.
