Macrophage inflammatory protein-3 beta (MIP-3 beta ), also called CCL19, is a chemokine that is expressed in the thymus, lymph nodes, and activated bone marrow stromal cells. MIP-3 beta signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CCR7 to regulate normal lymphocyte recirculation. MIP-3 beta also functions during T cell trafficking to the thymus, and in T cell and B cell homing to the lymph nodes and secondary lymphoid organs. Human MIP-3 beta shows activity on mouse cells.

Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/µg (1 IEU/µg) as determined by LAL test.
Biological Activity was determined by Bioactive protein. Centrifuge vial before opening, Suspend the product by gently pipetting the above recommended solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX. Allow several minutes for complete reconstitution. For prolonged storage, dilute to working aliquots in a 0.1% BSA solution, store at -80°C and avoid repeat freeze thaws. Upon reconstitution, a small amount of visible precipitate can be expected. A 10% overfill has been added to the total material vialed to compensate for this loss.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.

Subcellular location: Secreted
Tissue Specificity: Expressed at high levels in the lymph nodes, thymus and appendix. Intermediate levels seen in colon and trachea, while low levels found in spleen, small intestine, lung, kidney and stomach.
