Amount : | 10 µg |
Purification : | Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Content : | BDNF filtered (0.4 µm) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in PBS. It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. |
Storage condition : | Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C. |
AA sequence : | APMKEANIRG QGGLAYPGVR THGTLESVNG PKAGSRGLTS LADTFEHVIE ELLDEDQKVR PNEENNKDAD LYTSRVMLSS QVPLEPPLLF LLEEYKNYLD AANMSMRVRR HHHHHH. |
Alternative Name : | Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, BDNF, MGC34632, Abrineurin, ANON2, BULN2. |
Source: HEK293 Cells.
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
BDNF promotes the survival of neuronal populations that are all located either in the central nervous system or directly connected to it. BDNF is a major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the cns. The versatility of BDNF is emphasized by its contribution to a range of adaptive neuronal responses including long-term potentiation (ltp), long-term depression (ltd), certain forms of short-term synaptic plasticity, as well as homeostatic regulation of intrinsic neuronal excitability.
BDNF Human Recombinant is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 116 amino acids (19-128a.a) and having a molecular mass of 13.1kDa (calculated). BDNF is fused to a 6 a.a His tag at C-terminal.
